Co-operatives formation

Mrigakunja Bufferzone Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd. has been established to encourage people to get accustomed to save their earnings. As well as a good rate of interest the scheme offers many other benefits, including; help to deprived members for solving their financial problems; skill and livelihood programmes; and progression in social consciousness, socio-economy, organizations and the environment.
The organization wasintroduced after its registration in the District Co-operative and Division Office, Bharatpur on 2062-09-10 by using the rights given by the Co-operative Laws of 2058 (Nepali year) (Article 12, and sub-clause 1). It has made the circulation of loans easier, by organizing and collecting regular savings from all the male and female. In total NRs. 1,400,000 has been collected, and of that NRs. 1,200,000 has been circulated to date. 1,100 consumers from 42 different Consumer Groups have been saving in the co-operative organization on a regular basis. Members are offered a maximum loan of NRs. 20,000 without needing any security deposit. This has benefited many consumers greatly.
